Officers arriving to the area on June 3 determined that a tractor-trailer reportedly passed through a red light on Route 20 and struck an SUV turning onto the road. Emergency responders extricated the driver of the SUV from their vehicle and brought them to a local hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police stated that neither excessive speed nor impairment are believed to be factors in the incident. GPD confirmed that the tractor-trailer’s driver was issued a traffic citation and has remained cooperative with law enforcement throughout the resulting investigation.
