The airfield at Virginia’s Norfolk International Airport (ORF) briefly closed on Wednesday so emergency vehicles could meet a Delta plane landing there following reports of an odor on board.
A spokesperson for ORF tells PEOPLE the airport received a report involving “an odor of fumes in the cockpit” on Delta Flight 1101 before it landed on Wednesday, June 3.
“ORF airfield closed for three minutes as emergency responders positioned until the plane landed safely. The field reopened at 3:21 p.m.,” the spokesperson added, noting that no passengers or crew needed to be “transported for injuries.”…
