Baldwin County hub for crisis resources opens first location in Foley

FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — For someone in crisis, finding help isn’t always easy. That’s why the nonprofit organization Sea Glass Initiative launched its first community resource hub in Baldwin County.

“If you don’t know where to get help, your situation can spiral,” Michelle Hillman, the executive director of Sea Glass Initiative, said.

Inside the box is contact information and pamphlets, connecting community members to services for mental health, domestic violence, homelessness, suicide prevention, food pantries, and more.

“If we can help an individual or a family find the services that they need before their situation becomes a crisis, like becoming unhoused, then we’re making a deeper impact in our community,” Hillman said.
