Lebanon parade routes to cause traffic delays starting June 5

LEBANON, Ore. – The city of Lebanon will host the Strawberry Festival Parade on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6, causing multiple temporary road closures on main streets.

The Junior Parade will run Friday, June 5 from 2 p.m. to about 3 p.m. The Grand Parade will take place Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m., but traffic will be impacted from around 8:15 a.m. until about 1 p.m. as other festivities begin earlier. According to the Lebanon Police Department, after the parade, traffic will most likely travel to the festival site located at 37919 Weirich Drive in Lebanon. This will cause additional delays. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes if possible to help reduce the excess festival traffic. The police department is seeking cooperation to ensure a smooth and enjoyable parade day.

People can help by avoiding the parade routes and staging areas on Third Street and Fifth Street from Oak Street to Tangent Street during the parade hours. These streets may be shut down or marked with signs. Alternative routes have been established to help navigate through town.
