20-year-old man killed in rear-end collision on 7th Standard Rd identified: coroner

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a driver who died in a rear-end collision Tuesday evening on 7th Standard Road.

Daniel Ortega, 20, of Shafter was driving a Honda Civic at 4:06 p.m. on eastbound 7th Standard Road. He stopped to wait for the westbound traffic to clear to make a left turn onto Poplar Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
