BOSTON (WWLP) – A Boston man was sentenced to prison for threatening a federal law enforcement officer.
The Department of Justice states that the investigation began in May 2025 after law enforcement received a tip. An anonymous complainant alleged that an individual using the online moniker “Amir Haqqani” was using a Facebook account to make threats against the complainant and other individuals. Following this tip, law enforcement interviewed 34-year-old Kenneth Pacheco.
In July 2025, a relative of Pacheco expressed concern that Pacheco might harm himself. Law enforcement subsequently spoke with Pacheco again. On October 7th, Pacheco responded to these interventions by making threats aimed at friends, acquaintances, and a federal agent. Pacheco specifically threatened that people would “get hurt,” that he would “put people in the [] hospital,” and that he would “blow” the agents “brains out”…
