Toledo officer pulled from assignment after ‘reprehensible’ comments toward teens

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo’s police chief said one officer was pulled from his special assignment after video showed two officers stopping and insulting four teens walking home from a store on Sylvan Avenue.

Police Chief Mike Troendle called the incident “reprehensible.”

“As a matter of fact, it goes against everything we do train, everything we stand for in the police department, as a city. So, it’s a very unfortunate incident. There will be consequences when you violate our policies and procedures, and so that type of discipline will be coming forth,” Troendle said…
