MAUMEE, Ohio (WTVG) – Water at the Lucas County fairgrounds has been restored and deemed safter after E. coli was detected following a valve replacement and temporary shutoff, officials said. The fair is set to proceed as planned this week.
The county replaced valves at the fairgrounds, which required a water shutoff. When the water was turned back on that’s when E. coli was detected.
“The county came out and they ran the fire hydrants and they were getting all of the water out of the system and then after that is when they treated it the next morning and gave us the OK,” said Jodi Flores, a member of the Fair Board of Directors…
