Farm Chicks vendor fair ends 24-year run

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A beloved Spokane tradition will come to an end this weekend as the Farm Chicks Vintage & Handmade Fair holds its “grand finale” at the Spokane County Fairgrounds.

For 24 years, the annual shopping event has drawn thousands of visitors to the fairgrounds every first weekend of June, featuring thoughtfully curated and creatively designed spaces filled with vintage and handmade goods.

Founder Serena Thompson, who started the event in 2002, announced this year marks the end of the popular fair that was once just a small sale inside a neighbors barn. Over the years, the event, has turned into an iconic event many in the community look forward to…
