(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Police encountered multiple disturbances in the parking lot of a business near North Powers Boulevard and Stetson Hills Boulevard in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 6, leading to an officer disarming a gun from a suspect, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
According to police, at around 2 a.m. on Saturday, officers were trying to break up the disturbances in the 5800 block of Stetson Hills when security saw one of the people, later identified as 22-year-old Mallichi Garvin, holding a gun and informed officers on the scene. One of the officers was able to take the gun from Garvin after a brief struggle.
