Baldwin County community set to discuss temporary moratorium on new multi family residential developments

DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) – The Daphne City Council is scheduled to discuss an ordinance at its work session meeting Monday night that would establish a temporary moratorium on applications for any new multi family residential developments.

The time period would be for 180 days and be effective upon adoption.

The proposed ordinance says Daphne is currently engaged in a comprehensive review and overhaul of its Land Use and Development Ordinance (“LUDO”), including provisions relating to zoning classifications, development standards, density, infrastructure impacts, stormwater management, and compatibility of land uses…
