Pitching was the determining factor in Kansas baseball’s 8-1 loss to Oklahoma to open the Lawrence Super Regional on Saturday night. The Jayhawks had no more than one runner on the bases during an at-bat until the ninth inning of the game, when KU trailed by seven runs. That’s a credit to Cord Rager and LJ Mercurius, who gave up a combined four hits and one run in nine innings pitched.
