SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 7, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Pride Month and the 2026 Pride Festival are still in full swing in downtown Salt Lake City despite Gov. Spencer Cox’s decision to designate June as “Fidelity Month” rather than “Pride Month,” as he has in the past.
According to Cox’s proclamation, “a recent opinion poll of Americans showed that support for traditional values has significantly declined” and “a majority of Americans no longer esteem values like faith, family, patriotism or community involvement.”
Those beliefs, the proclamation contends, are key to the “survival of the United States,” and as such, “it is fitting to observe one month each year to rededicate the United States to its core values.”…
