World War II-era bomb found at downtown Bremerton home, police say

BREMERTON, Wash. — A World War II-era practice bomb found in a duffel bag at a downtown Bremerton home was detonated after bomb technicians could not confirm it was inert, Bremerton police said.

The discovery was reported last week, after a person who had recently purchased the contents of an abandoned storage locker began sorting through the items.
