Nebraska football had a heck of a weekend, reeling in five different commitments out of 16 visitors. However, one expected commitment didn’t materialize, meaning Monday could bring more good news for Matt Rhule and Co.
Nehemiah Ombati hasn’t pulled the trigger for the Huskers just yet, but when it comes to recruiting analysts’ predictions, it’s just a matter of time. It felt like the 3-star defensive lineman would be the sixth commit of the weekend, but the announcement never came. That didn’t stop Rivals analyst Sean Callahan from entering a new prediction just before midnight.
Callahan’s prediction for Nebraska to land Ombati followed the predictions of Tim Veghese, Allen Trieu, Greg Smith, and Steve Wiltfong, all of which were entered on Saturday morning. Those entries followed Bryan Munson, who chose the Huskers as the eventual winner of this particular race on June 3. Six people all projecting a commitment are generally never wrong, so with the sunrise on Monday now here, could NU get at least one more commitment from the massive weekend?…
