One of Houston’s Michelin-rated restaurants appears to be making major moves. Permit filings indicate that ChòpnBlọk is not only planning to expand its first brick-and-mortar restaurant, but there may be another ChòpnBlọk on the way.
While the fast-casual West African concept from chef Ope Amosu has not officially announced an additional location, a permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Tuesday points to a new ChòpnBlọk opening at 1085 Gessner Rd. in Greenside Memorial, the new mixed-use development in Memorial City.
According to the filing, the project includes an estimated $1.25 million interior build-out of a 3,757-square-foot restaurant space within an existing core-and-shell building. Construction is expected to begin in September and be completed by November…
