LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Tornado Watch has been issued for much of Nebraska (in yellow below). The main threats will be a couple possible strong tornadoes, hail up to softball size and damaging winds up to 80 mph.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for parts of south central and southwestern Nebraska through late Tuesday night. Damaging wind gusts up to 80 mph, hail between quarter and egg sized, and areas of heavy rain will be possible within the watch area.
Off and on thunderstorm chances, with the potential for strong to severe storms headlines the forecast over the next several days. While the weather will remain active, widespread storms look like they will be hard to come by.
