Dear Editor: I have deep roots at St. Mary’s, where I’ve been a behavioral health nurse for over a decade. My mom was also a nurse there for many years. I was born prematurely there and spent two weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit. Without the expertise and care of St. Mary’s, I would not have survived.
Two years ago, I had to undergo major heart surgery, and for the second time, St. Mary’s saved my life.
That’s why I’m building our union, because St. Mary’s truly matters to me and I want our hospital to continue providing compassionate, lifesaving care to our community…
