One person dead following vehicle crash in construction zone in Ohio

OHIO — A Newark man died Tuesday evening following a crash in a construction zone on state Route 16 in Licking County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 6:05 p.m. when 48-year-old Robert Lentz, of Newark, was traveling eastbound on state Route 16 in a 2008 Volkswagen Passat.

Investigators said Lentz drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a construction barrel, an embankment and a traffic attenuator. The vehicle then overturned, and Lentz was ejected from the car…
