SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk Fire & Rescue came to the rescue of four waterfowl June 10.
They were able to scoop out four ducklings that had fallen into a storm drain in the Bennett’s Creek Park area.
The ducklings were reunited with their mother and two other ducklings who all happily swam away.
Last month, Chesapeake Fire safely rescued ducklings from a storm drain on Eagle Point Way.
Spring is peak hatching and nesting season for ducks which is why we see so much activity in the spring and early summer months…
