LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — A Lincoln woman was charged with second-degree assault after allegedly using a hot iron to burn her roommate because the roommate ate her chips, according to court documents.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on June 9, police responded to an apartment complex at 2231 W. O. St. after a woman called for help with her roommate.
Court documents revealed Diep Pham, 56, allegedly lay on top of her roommate while holding a hot iron. The roommate, who was asleep in her bed, woke up and saw Pham attempting to push the hot iron into the roommate’s face and allegedly accusing the roommate of eating Pham’s chips.
Police said the roommate was able to push the hot iron away using her hands but received burns on her arm, forehead and hand. Court documents show she was later transported to Bryan West Hospital…
