ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The First Alert Weather team and WIFR staff provide real-time updates as potential severe weather-producing storms roll through the stateline.

  • Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued for Ogle, DeKalb, McHenry and Boone counties until 3:15 p.m.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning for central Stephenson County until 2 p.m.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Winnebago County until 2:45 p.m.; Near Pecatonica, Lake Summerset and Durand around 2:05 p.m., Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park around 2:10 p.m., Roscoe, South Beloit, Cherry Valley around 2:15 p.m.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Ogle County until 2:15 p.m.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Carroll, Jo Daviess and Stephenson counties until 1:30 p.m.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for the entire WIFR viewing area until 7 p.m. June 10.

An “enhanced” level 3/5 risk of severe weather is in place areawide both Wednesday and Thursday. All threats will be possible, including damaging winds, large hail, torrential rainfall, flash flooding, and tornadoes. Have several ways to get information during this period of active weather.
