Bakersfield police to hold DUI, license checkpoint on Friday, June 12

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department will hold a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. within the city limits.

Officers will be looking for drivers with signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment. Other officers will be checking for proper licensing, momentarily delaying drivers.

Specifically trained officers will be available to evaluate drivers suspected of impaired driving, which includes not only illegal drugs, but also many over-the-counter medications…
