Cincinnati firefighter dies from occupational cancer, union says

CINCINNATI (WXIX) -A Cincinnati firefighter died Thursday after battling occupational cancer, according to the Cincinnati Firefighters Union Local 48.

Firefighters say Ryan Zwick, 43, was a 12-year veteran of the Cincinnati Fire Department.

“Being 43 years old is very unfortunate,” said Chief Frank McKinley. Like I said, being able to meet him a few times, meet with his family, have a final conversation with them, it was very touching. He’s definitely a fighter until the very end.”…
