On the morning of June 8, Christy Blue woke up to see her first home on fire. She was awakened by a sound like a tap against her window, which she soon realized was the crackling of fire. Upon checking her kitchen and back door, she saw flames were consuming her home.
She escaped through the garage and sought assistance from her neighbors, one of whom contacted emergency services.
“I work hard. This is my first starter home,” Blue told WLBT. “And I put my all into this, and I just watched it go up in flames.”…
