Former Jessamine County prosecutor indicted for alleged misconduct

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – A former Jessamine County prosecutor has been indicted for alleged misconduct, according to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office.

Eric Wright, 45, faces one count of abuse of public trust, one count of bribing a witness, one count of misdemeanor first-degree official misconduct and one count of misdemeanor theft by deception.

According to the indictment, in February and March of 2026, while exercising his duties in his official capacity as a prosecutor, Wright allegedly obtained money that did not belong to him…
