Horry County man arrested after allegedly using hacked Amazon account to order $11K in laptops

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A man in Horry County is behind bars after allegedly using a hacked Amazon account to order thousands of dollars in laptops.

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office charged Kelvin Lamont Baxter with one count of financial identity theft.

Deputies received a phone call Sunday from a victim who reported her Amazon account had been hacked, and someone had ordered more than $11,000 worth of laptop computers.
