Storms Bring Winds, Hail, Heavy Rain and a Possible Tornado to SE Nebraska Early Thursday

LINCOLN–(KFOR June 11)–Severe weather early Thursday morning dropped large hail, heavy rain, produced damaging winds and even spawned a tornado in southeast Nebraska.

At the Lincoln Airport around 4:37am, a wind gust measured at 70 mph was reported. Heavy rain in a short amount of time prompted flash flood warnings for parts of the Lincoln metro toward Waverly in northern sections of Lancaster County. Those warnings have since been lifted.
