COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -A Colorado Springs church centered around psilocybin mushrooms is settling into its first public-facing location after previously operating out of a single-family home.
The Colorado Psychedelic Church recently moved into a strip mall space near North Academy Boulevard and Union Boulevard. Founder Benji, who goes by Teopixqui Dez, said the move marks a significant milestone for the organization, which he says has grown rapidly over the past year. He also says several landlords declined to lease space to the church before it secured its current location.
“This isn’t some clandestine operation. We’re not operating secretly,” the founder said. “Being able to see it from the road, it says we’re real, we’re safe.”…
