CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – A Greater Cincinnati-based subsidiary of one of the country’s largest defense firms has been awarded a $98 million contract.
L3Harris Fuzing and Ordnance Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Florida-based L3Harris Technologies, received a contract June 3 from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division to deliver the Department of Defense’s mechanical proximity fuzes (FALCO) for upgrades to the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System, according to a news release.
The fuzes, which detonate an explosive device automatically when it approaches within a certain distance of its target, will be produced at the Greater Cincinnati facility at 3975 McMann Road in Clermont County’s Union Township…
