Vanderburgh County deputies rescue fawn near highway

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Deputies with the Vanderburgh County Shariff’s Office worked together to save a young deer near a highway.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies found the deer near Highway 41 and St. George. Officials say they were able to capture the fawn without injury.

After naming it Bambi, deputies say they released it back into its natural habitat.
