Rangers rescue hikers with bee stings, blisters, and a broken finger

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation forest rangers came to the aid of two 18-year-olds from New York City injured while hiking in the Adirondack High Peaks on the afternoon of June 6.

Rangers first responded to a call for a hiker with facial swelling in the area of Indian Falls. When they met the bee-stung hiker at Marcy Dam, the swelling was already subsiding.

As rangers assessed the patient, another hiker requested assistance with a broken finger. After rendering aid, rangers assisted both hikers to their vehicles.
