BALTIMORE, MD—Forecasters have issued a Heat Advisory for a massive stretch of the mid-Atlantic region on Friday, warning that soaring temperatures combined with stifling humidity could push heat index values to around 105 degrees.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, covering the District of Columbia, central Maryland, northern Virginia, and parts of the Chesapeake Bay and Tidal Potomac River areas.
