COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — The cremated remains of five previously unclaimed military veterans and one veteran’s spouse will be laid to rest on Friday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
The American Legion Post 193 in Chapin will host the interment ceremony to honor the veterans, whose remains have gone unclaimed following their deaths.
Those to be buried include U.S. Army veterans Herbert C. Dandelski, Robert Parker, Richard Parker, and Billy Page. As well as U.S. Marine Corps veteran John Robert Griffin, and U.S. Navy veteran Louise Stalnaker. Gracie Ann Parker, the spouse of Robert Parker, was also interred…
