Seekonk woman opens roadside bakery to honor late grandfather

SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) — Madison Amaral’s grandfather Joe Ferreira had a sweet tooth.

“I always made treats for him,” Amaral told 12 News. “He would love off of doughnuts and coffee. Those were his favorites.”

“The man loved his sweets,” she continued. “He knew every bakery in town, and even some outside of town.”

Though her grandfather always encouraged her to sell her treats, Amaral said she wasn’t initially interested in doing so…
