Driver pleads not guilty in Madison hit-and-run crash that killed construction worker

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The man accused of hitting and killing a construction worker in Madison pleaded not guilty on Friday, online court records show.

Michael N. Martin, 42, stood mute in Dane County court while the plea was entered on his behalf.

Michael Martin is accused of several charges, including felony counts of hit-and-run involving death, homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and first-degree recklessly endangering safety and knowingly operating while revoked- causing death.

The crash was reported just after 10 p.m. on April 30 after a person was hit by a van on on South Stoughton Road and Buckeye Road…
