Fairfax County firefighters put out car fire after I-495 crash

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Fairfax County firefighters responded to a crash and car fire on Interstate 495 South late Friday afternoon.

The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department (FCFRD) said in a post that units responded to a crash near Interstate 66 just before 5:30 p.m.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire and treat patients.

FCFRD said that one person was taken to the hospital. They were expected to survive…
