Emergency first-responders were dispatched to a violent crash at 6:21 p.m. on May 5, in the northbound lanes of McLoughlin Boulevard at S.E. 17th Avenue, on the border between Westmoreland and Brooklyn.
At the scene, five Portland Police Bureau officers – including the Traffic Division – were working the accident, along with an Oregon Department of Transportation emergency response truck, directly across from “Hollywood Lights” headquarters.
Light from the sun, low in the west, glinted off the lineup of stalled northbound traffic on S.E. McLoughlin Boulevard, as vehicles were stopped all the way back into the City of Milwaukie…
