Deputy reunites with boy he saved from icy pond

SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — A 7-year-old boy who nearly died after falling through an icy pond in southeast Shelby County is back in school and thriving months after the dramatic rescue.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office shared an update Saturday on Zaedrion Terry, who was rescued from an icy pond at the Southwind Lakes Apartments on Jan. 30.

Deputies Edward Owens and A. Hugoboom recently visited Zaedrion and his family, bringing pizza for dinner and checking on his recovery.
