State senators Lucas and Locke advocate for removal of data center tax exemption

HAMPTON, VA. (WAVY) – Making sure data centers in the commonwealth pay their fair share. That’s what state senators Louise Lucas and Mamie Locke were advocating for at Hampton City Hall on June 14th.

The event was part of the Data Center Listening Tour, and came just days after a new $300 million data center began construction in Newport News.
