Children sustain life-threatening injuries after northeast Fort Wayne crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A crash on the city’s northeast side has caused severe injuries to two children and has closed down a roadway.

On Monday at about 5:19 p.m., Fort Wayne Police Department Officers responded to a three-car crash at the intersection of Vance Avenue and Hobson Road.

On scene, three heavily damaged cars were in the intersection, with one that had flipped on its top.

Initial investigation indicates that one of the cars was headed east on Vance Avenue when it blew through a redlight, striking another car heading north on Hobson Road. The collision struck a third car sitting at the traffic light…
