Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — The City of Rochester shut down the Wyndham Rochester Downtown hotel Friday, citing 13 fire code violations and 10 open building code violations.
While not listing specifics details of those violations, Mayor Malik Evans said Monday he wants swift action from the hotel.
“The timeline is immediately,” he said about when he wants to see it reopen. “We need to have hotel rooms in our city and we need hotels that are operating that will allow patrons to want to be able to stay there.”…
