Rain ‘deluge’ overwhelms Shreveport’s Millennium Studio, city says more work needed

Just as officials with the City of Shreveport thought they had completed work on a drainage issue at Millennium Studio Monday’s rain brought proof that more is needed.

When asked if water got in the front or back of the facility on Monday, Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux answered, “Yes to both questions. “Apparently, what happened with the front entrance was that there was a vehicle that created a wake.”

He said that wake is what pushed water into the front door of the studio. A white SUV was stalled in the middle of Douglas Street near the front of the studio…
