Abandoned Pines Apartments in Shreveport up for auction

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – An abandoned apartment complex in Shreveport that was forced to close after ongoing water issues is now up for auction.

The Pines Apartments closed in 2024 after water issues that spanned more than a year. Tenants say they were paying their rent, which included water service, but the owner of the complex was not paying its water bill to the city. Water was briefly shut off at this complex and several others in the same situation before the city stepped in to assist the people living there.
