A federal judge has sentenced 29-year-old Shane McSwane, accused of one count of kidnapping and one count of attempted aggravated robbery, to 26 years in prison on Friday, June 12. The judge gave 13 years each for both Class 4 felonies and asked the defendant to serve them consecutively.

Dotson managed to connect with 911 dispatchers.
When all this was happening with Dotson, she somehow managed to report a “bad traffic crash” to 911 and texted the dispatchers, “help me,” as per 9News. The end was near when the accused turned towards Interstate 25 south into Pueblo County, where 911 agents were already responding to a robbery complaint.
The description of the vehicle in the complaint matched the vehicle that McSwane carjacked earlier. The police tried to stop the car, leading the accused to go into a high-speed chase with the cops…
