Three people, 1 dog displaced after Southeast DC fire

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Firefighters quickly put out an apartment fire in Southeast D.C. on Tuesday afternoon.

In a post just before 5:20 p.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said that units were in the 2900 block of 2nd St. SE for a fire in a three-story apartment building.

In an update just after 6 p.m., DCFD said that the fire was out. It had started in the kitchen of a third-floor apartment.

No injuries were reported; however, two adults, one minor and one dog were displaced…
