BROCKTON — Since July 2025, Brockton School Committee members have been getting an unauthorized raise of $5,000 a year, according to payroll records and the city’s chief financial officer.
By city ordinance, their pay is supposed to be a $15,000 salary. Instead, they have been receiving $20,000, Chief Financial Officer Troy Clarkson said in a June 11 interview at City Hall.
The schools say it was a clerical error. “I will take full responsibility for that,” Superintendent Priya Tahiliani said at a June 10 budget hearing. “I would not say that that is anything nefarious.”…
