4 charged after children were locked in bedbug-infested attic: Carlisle police

Police charged four family members who they say kept children locked inside a Carlisle bedroom attic that was infested with bedbugs, police said in court documents. One child was physically abused, police said.

Michelle Husted, 49; Andrew Miller, 25; Leslie Warfel, 28; and Chad Husted, 46, all of Carlisle, were charged with aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault, unlawful restraint/serious bodily injury and false imprisonment, according to police.
