LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — One of the men convicted last week in the fatal shooting of Tyree Smith at a Louisville bus stop in 2021 faces new charges after drugs were found in his jail cell.
Demaurion Moore pleaded not guilty to several drug charges in court Tuesday morning, including promoting contraband, possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in a controlled substance.
According to court documents, Metro Corrections officers searched Moore’s cell June 12 while he was in court for the trial in Smith’s death. An officer found “two bundles of Suboxone strips wrapped in clear plastic,” containing a total of 40 Suboxone strips…
