PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Pender County Commissioner and Vice Chairman Brad George announced his resignation Monday, citing concerns about the county’s direction and priorities.
George made the announcement during the Board of Commissioners meeting on June 15.
“Over the past several months, I’ve developed a serious concern about the direction our county and priorities being pursued,” George said. “And while I respect the office and the democratic process, I no longer feel that I can effectively represent my constituents while remaining true to my principles and my values that brought me into public service.
